YMCA Adds Multipurpose Wellness Center

Ithaca’s YMCA is calling all health seekers in 2010: challenge yourself to be a better person in the New Year both physically and mentally, but don’t wait — start preparing now.    

The grand opening of the YMCA’s new wellness center will take place during an open house on Jan. 16, providing retreat from the cold and a haven for people with New Year’s resolutions. Anyone who signs up for a membership at that time will have their $30 joiner’s fee waived, according to Frank Towner, associate executive director of the YMCA.
