Mama Goose is worth a 40-minute drive for us. We look here for gifts for our 1-year-old, as well as for the kids of our friends. The selection is clean and well-sorted; the prices are reasonable; the place is a pleasure to visit.

Mama Goose a one stop shop in Ithaca, NY

It is hard for me to come up with one word to describe Mama Goose the best. I honestly can buy almost anything my heart desires for my children at Mama Goose. I always go there for birthdays and any holiday for all my nieces and nephews as well. Mama Goose takes care of its costumers so well. The staff that work there are always helpful, willing to help, listen, offer many meaningful suggestions of what to get. I love buying my children gently used clothing, it helps me do my part to be "green." I appreciate being able to sell my items there as well so I can get some trade in value. Mama Goose carries many new items that are so beautifully and thoughtfully made as well. I love my Ergo, my children both have fit in it so comfortably. My son has so many cute Robeez too. Basically, I've never left Mama Goose with only the few items I had in mind, I always find at least one more thing that I need. I also never seem to keep my store credit because there are so many wonderful things to buy! I'm so grateful that Ithaca has Mama Goose, perhaps I'll never be able to move!

Great find in Ithaca...

Mama Goose is a gem of a find here in Ithaca. I'm pregnant and due in a month. My mother and I went into Mama Goose about a month ago because I'm going to be using cloth diapers and needed to purchase diaper covers. Being a first time mom, I was unsure of everything I needed. The staff at Mama Goose was amazing. They were warm and helpful. They took their time and explained all the different options to me and even showed me how to use the diaper, what I'll need, and gave me personal experiences of their own. It was so appreciated! After getting all of the info about the diapers, my mom and I started looking at the huge selection of very gently used clothing that Mama Goose had to offer. The clothes are in fantastic condition and displayed by age. Although I haven't brought any clothes in yet as this is my first child that I am expecting, I know that I will definitely use that option when it comes time. Thanks so much to Mama Goose for providing such a fantastic service to our community!

Mama Goose

I just recently had my first child. My husband and I needed some clothes for the baby so we went to the mall and spent over $10 on an outfit. Doesn't sound that bad, right? Well then I discovered MAMA GOOSE. What a day that was. I was so excited I bought my son an outfit for $4!
The greatest thing about Mama Goose for me is they always have what I need. And the staff are wonderful - they helped me get started on cloth diapers (which, by the way, Mama Goose is the perfect place to by used cloth diapers). I have purchased clothes, shoes, diapers, neck ties, a diaper pail, a swing, winter coats ... (they have a great coat sale during the fall!) I've also sold some things to them that I wasn't using that can go to parents who need it for way less $$!
Bottom line - I told my husband Mama Goose is always our first stop.

Mama Goose lives and breathes the mantra "reduce, reuse, and recycle." Since opening up in their much bigger location, Kelly and her wonderful staff have provided a HUGE selection of used children's clothes and toys AND a much needed maternity section. I have a four yr old and 4 month old and I always go to Mama Goose first when I need something specific. It is also fun on any given day to go and just see what they have as they always get "new/old" items in almost every day. A visit to Mama Goose is a must for any mama ; >

Love Mama Goose!!

I live about 30 minutes from Ithaca, and we go to Mama Goose about once a month. There isn't anyplace in the city I live in to get Cloth diapers or Charlies soap. I could order everything online, but I really like helping out local companies instead of the larger corporations. Every time I am at Mama Goose, I tell myself that I am not going to shop...but I can't resist. They have such great items at such great prices! The staff in very helpful. When I started cloth diapering, they gave me all the information I needed since I was overwhelmed. I couldn't have done it without them!

Mama Goose has everything for girls and boys of all sizes, I love that I can turn in clothes and get a credit. With a growing five year old boy I can't seem to keep up, Mama Goose has been a great way to save money and have clothes that are in awesome shape. Also Mama Goose offers Pregnancy books and other items that most stores do not have. Mama Goose is the way to go!

best place for kids' clothes in Ithaca

We have been huge fans of Mama Goose since right after my first daughter was born. Not only do we like the idea of recycling clothes, but it just makes practical sense not to spend a lot of dough on kids' clothes. If one of my girls needs something, I always make sure to stop by Mama Goose first to see if I can find it there.

Mama Goose is filled to the brim with gently worn children's clothing. The prices aren't dirt cheap a la Salvation Army, but you don't have to work hard to find items that your child needs and are in good condition. You can also sell off your stuff here, which is a lot less annoying than having a garage sale, and you won't be wondering about the Christian agenda as you might if you donate your used items to the Salvation Army.
